Tell us about yourself and what you do:

“Hi,  👋 I’m @mandybalak and I am the Founder & CEO of The Ace Class, Rise and Date Night YYC , I am also the Executive Director for The Best of Calgary- I am a community builder.  My entrepreneurial career began in 2012 by helping others build better relationships with each other and our city and has now led me to cultivate community all across Canada attracting women with a collective mission to be the best version of themselves.”

How do you define beauty?

“I define beauty as being real, raw and vulnerable. This has been a process for me to discover in my life as I had a different idea of what beauty was growing up. I have always struggled with comparison and that feeling of ‘not enough’ however, the work I have been called to do to support other women to connect deeply with themselves has shown me that real beauty is simply showing up the most real version of you.”

Whats a unique gift that you want to share with the world?

“I naturally see the best in people and as a leader, support others to lean into their potential. If I could share this with others I believe this would influence others to build community around them that is committed to rising up and chasing possibilities without fear of failure.”

How do you continue to bloom?

“To me, ‘blooming’ means growth and evolution and to be willing to bloom requires an open heart. Growth is a core value personally and professionally for me and I believe in a lifelong commitment to learning and am highly invested in my personal development through courses, reading, conferences, meeting new people and traveling every chance I get. I’m always ready to level up.”

What do you think it means to be feminine in this day and age?

“Up until recently, I wouldn’t describe myself as being feminine. I have had to let my walls down and embrace who I am and that’s supported me finding my true self and that doesn’t mean just wearing pink. Being feminine to me means collaboration, compassion and lifting others up and my work with @theaceclass_ and @jointherise_ brings women together to celebrate mutual success.”

What can we do to help empower women/ or become empowered women?

“Empowered women, empower women. Lead by example, smile, compliment someone when you are into their outfit, listen to understand, and open a door for another woman every chance you can.”

THANK YOU MANDY for sharing your #RedBloomInRealLife with us. You truly are an example of an empowered woman and we applaud you in your commitment to help others rise up and be their best!
